Effects of Tele-Exercise on Body Weight, Body Mass Index, and Fat Mass of Obese Employees

Purpose: Obesity is a growing health problem in Indonesia caused by physical inactivity. Meanwhile, employees are group that susceptible to obesity as they often have limited time while working sedentarily front of desk or computer, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This causes risks many cardiovascular diseases, and can indirectly cause death. Tele-exercise, live online video exercise, may be solution this problem. Therefore, purpose study analyse effects tele-exercise on body weight, BMI, fat mass percentage indicators obesity. Methods: The research was conducted from July 2020 January 2021 according policy regarding Also, it used pre-post quasy experimental design. A total 39 subjects were given involving 2 strength training 1 cardio per week for 3 months. Findings: Subsequently, results showed exercise had significant effect (p<0.05) BMI only decreased significantly second third assessment. Originality: To our knowledge, first analysing obese employee’s index mass. Conclusion: proves tele-Exercise an effective therapy does not require large space, has beneficial aspects, timing measurement hydration status should considered assess composition.
